Aftercare Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as Aftercare's case work information manager and input case details into Casework Tracking Management System;
  • Maintain up-to-date statistics and information for the department;
  • Respond to general Aftercare requests for information with internal and external parties;
  • Draft Monthly Reports and Dashboards;
  • Liaise with the Human Resources department for all hiring and recruitment activities;
  • Assist in the development of systems and processes for the respective Aftercare teams as needed; and
  • Other departmental support as needed.

Church Mobilization Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Secure opportunities for IJM to conduct training for churches, community leaders and the general population;
  • Develop and deliver sound theological messages on the biblical call of justice to churches;
  • Network/develop key relationships with denominational leaders, civic leaders and pastors;
  • Work with existing partnerships in your field office;
  • Track monthly targets and maintain reporting dashboard;
  • Maintain promotional materials, inventory and ledger;
  • Provide administrative support to Director of Church Mobilization; and
  • Other departmental support as needed.

Communications Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and develop stories and news items on IJM programs for HQ materials such as: News from the Field, IJM Justice Briefings, Quarterly Reports, web updates, fundraising pieces, PowerPoint presentations and IJM speeches;
  • Check facts and use research skills to help put IJM work into regional and global context;
  • Draft press releases after significant events for local media;
  • Maintain a file containing articles in newspapers and internet of interest;
  • Conduct field research and write issue-focused stories to highlight IJM's work;
  • Research, compile and analyze information of use for the office in the area of communications;
  • Arrange interviews and establish contacts with entities, civil servants and social/media operators, etc;
  • Develop documents based on studies, surveys and interviews of information subjects; and
  • Other departmental support as needed.

Executive Administrative Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Field Office Director (FOD) or Director’s calendar;
  • Take notes at Department Head meetings and other meetings;
  • Draft letters and other communications;
  • Assist with email management for FOD or Director;
  • Compile Monthly Report and Dashboard information;
  • Schedule meetings for FOD, Department Heads and other staff as needed;
  • Special projects as assigned by the FOD; and
  • Other departmental support as needed.

Government & Community Relations Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Draft training content and logistical support for NGO Trainings;
  • Assist in evaluation and upgrading of NGO Training content;
  • Develop content for Community Relations programs and campaigns;
  • Maintain the Community Relations documentation and track monthly targets;
  • Help in the planning and implementation of Advocacy team events;
  • Provide Administrative support to the community relations team’s activities; and
  • Represent IJM at NGO Network and Government Network meetings if necessary.

Investigations and Law Enforcement Development Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with writing and editing reports of investigation activities;
  • Organize and track progress of ongoing operations, including the operation stage and expenses incurred for each operation;
  • Create intelligence reports that organize and analyze data;
  • Maintain department databases and files;
  • Assist in the development of protocols, procedures and best practices for the Investigations department;
  • Assist with organizing, administering and documenting ongoing training in Investigations;
  • Research future equipment needs and purchases;
  • Operate and maintain investigative equipment;
  • Facilitate investigations through logistical support as needed; and
  • Other departmental support as needed.

  • Help ensure the smooth administration of the legal team including managing of documentation, providing administrative support to lawyers and creating PowerPoint presentations;
  • Input case details into Casework Tracking Management System;
  • Assist in developing best practice documents based on casework experience;
  • Assist with legal training sessions;
  • Participate in legal strategy meetings;
  • Participate in rescue planning sessions; and
  • Other departmental support as needed.
