Finance interns assist their department with monitoring and support of finances in both Headquarters and international field offices. College students, recent graduates and graduate students with classes in accounting, finance or business are preferred for these positions. Although tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, interns can expect their tasks to include:
- Processing expense reports, including payment requests, credit card reports and cash advance reconciliations;
- Preparing and recording financial data from expense reports in IJM's accounting system;
- Assisting with information analysis and workflow between various reporting tools and Workday;
- Researching various regulatory and procedural matters for the finance department; and
- Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.
Positions May Include:
- Finance & Technology: supporting IJM’s global reporting and systems needs
- Financial Planning & Analysis: working with the Financial Policy & Analyst teams on budget projections, reports and systems

After nearly two decades of continued growth and operational success in pioneering the work of protecting the poor from violence, IJM has developed a sizable global grants portfolio from a diverse array of government, corporate, and foundation donors. As IJM continues this trajectory of growth and scaling of its impact, the Global Grants team is seeking a collaborative Grants Finance expert to enhance and leverage the capacities of our global teams to realize IJM’s vision and mission across the grant lifecycle.
This role is responsible for overseeing the cost proposal process for grants and technical proposals, including subgrantees; contributing significantly to IJM’s grant capacity building efforts; and working to strengthen IJM’s grant financial management capacity. The Grants Finance Specialist reports to the Global Director, Grants Management with dotted line reporting to the Director of International Finance.

IJM’s Global Partnerships division is activating global agents of change to move local governments to protect the poor from violence. The team mobilizes key centers of global power to provide the resources and influence necessary for the transformation of local justice systems, engaging with corporations, international organizations, the global church, and transnational governmental organizations. As one of the Global Partnerships interns, you will leverage your expertise to ensure IJM accomplishes the goal of protecting the poor from violence. Although tasks may vary depending on the internship and the work in progress at the time, some tasks may include:
Positions May Include:
- Data Solutions: creating change management plans for business processes and assisting in business architecture for large-scale justice data solutions
- Grants: supporting grant acquisition (proposals) as well as special projects related to grant management and compliance
- Justice Solutions: helping develop Centers of Excellence for aftercare, survivor voice, prosecution and internal learning, as well as produce consistent global standards and products that fully equip staff and partners to work in a trauma-informed manner
- Partnerships Strategy & Operations: supporting projects with research, writing, project management, including global stakeholder mapping, setting program standards for field offices, or developing resources to help communicate about the work

The Global People Support division works to provide the people, systems, processes, and support necessary to end slavery and violence in our lifetime. As one of the GPS interns, you will assist in hiring, inspiring, and strengthening IJM staff to accomplish that goal. Although tasks may vary depending on the internship and the work in progress at the time, some tasks may include:
- Coordinating various audits, such as benefits and job description audits;
- Assisting with survey analysis projects;
- Assisting in the organization and execution of various retreats and other all-staff events;
- Preparing for IJM’s daily staff prayer time, including recording prayer requests and coordinating with staff members as needed;
- Providing coordination for special projects assigned by People Operations members;
- Assisting the division’s use of project management software; and
- Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.
Positions May Include:
- Talent Acquisition: supporting IJM’s global Intern and Fellows program, expatriate program and global onboarding
- Staff Care: support the design and development of Staff Care processes and projects
- People Support Strategy & Operations: support ongoing projects within the division, including global Human Resources policy development, Orientation, Prayer Retreats, and morale enhancing initiatives

The Financial Planning and Analysis team seeks a collaborative leader to develop the global revenue plan and maintain a cash flow model that ensures IJM continues this trajectory of growth and scaling of impact. The Global Revenue and Cash Flow Specialist will work collaboratively with the global finance team and IJM’s revenue generating teams around the world to put together a data driven and fiscally sound revenue plan.

The Global Safety & Security team oversees the safety and security of IJM personnel and clients worldwide. Although tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, Global Safety & Security interns can expect their tasks to include:
- Compiling daily briefs for senior leaders based on open source news sites which summarize key current events around the world that could impact IJM’s operations;
- Assisting in coordinating course logistics for specialized safety and security trainings;
- Researching and preparing memoranda regarding threat assessments and crisis response plans;
- Tracking and reporting on security developments in regions of the world where IJM has offices;
- Completing research assignments assigned by Director of Global Safety & Security to provide in-depth reports of latest safety and security threats to IJM's work;
- Assist in tracking the Field Offices' compliance with IJM Security Manual policies and procedures through check-ins with Field Office security personnel
- Assisting with the management of IJM’s crisis response system; and
- Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

Global Technology Solutions interns participate in the full running of a global IT group supporting local staff and all the field offices. IJM maintains their Global Systems and Infrastructure centrally from the DC office. Although specific tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, GTS interns can expect to focus on one of three areas.
Positions May Include
Global Technology Training and Adoption:
- Design, plan, and implement global technology training online and in person; and
- Plan communications for roll out initiatives, and build out tech training documentation and video.
Service Desk:
- Handling user issues on helpdesk;
- Building of new laptops/desktops for deployment;
- Writing knowledge base articles to help users in self-service helpdesk; and
- Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

International Justice Mission is seeking a specialist with expertise in internet crimes against children (ICAC) to support development of law enforcement responsible for investigating cases of online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC). The ICAC Specialist will provide subject matter expertise and technical support to the Philippine law enforcement community, primarily the National Bureau of Investigation Anti-Human Trafficking Division (NBI AHTRAD), by partnering with law enforcement officials to investigate OSEC crimes, rescue victims, and ensure the lawful arrest and prosecution of suspected perpetrators. This individual will be responsible for training, developing, and mentoring law enforcement officers to sustainably strengthen the public justice system’s capacity to combat OSEC. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation of technical experience and law enforcement expertise, possess strong communication skills, be able to thrive in a dynamic environment, and be passionate about seeking justice.
This position is funded through grant funding and is contingent upon project award.

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a qualified, experienced, and energetic professional to serve as a Regional Mobilization Manager (RMM) for the northeast region of the United States. This position is responsible for developing the state-level grassroots/tops strategy to influence policy-makers to support U.S. leadership in the fight against everyday violence. Through developing and managing volunteer team leaders, the RMM is also responsible for delivering on the regional grassroots strategy to mobilize the funds and prayers that support IJM’s work internationally.
This position is based remotely in one of the following cities: Chicago, IL; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; or another key metropolitan area in the Midwest region of the United States. The position reports to the National Director of Mobilization on the Advocacy and Mobilization team.
