College students, recent graduates and graduate students with classes in accounting, finance or business are preferred for these positions. Although tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, interns can expect their tasks to include: - Processing expense reports, including payment requests, credit card reports and cash advance reconciliations; - Preparing and recording financial data from expense reports in IJM's accounting system; - Assisting in the review of monthly financial reports for completeness, accuracy and compliance with policy; - Researching various regulatory and procedural matters for the finance department; and - Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

Candidates who have completed or are pursuing a graduate degree in Social Work are preferred. This internship is best for those interested in gaining an experience in macro-level social work; it does not provide clinical experience. Although tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, Aftercare Interns can expect their tasks to include: - Researching and preparing memorandums on best practices, policies and procedures regarding casework-specific aftercare issues; - Developing continuing education modules for IJM Field Office Aftercare staff; - Providing support for the Survivor Scholarship Program; and - Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

Although tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, Corporate Security interns can expect their tasks to include: - Compiling daily briefs for senior leaders based on open source news sites which summarize key current events around the world that could impact IJM’s operations; - Assisting in coordinating course logistics for specialized safety and security trainings; - Researching and preparing memoranda regarding threat assessments and crisis response plans; - Tracking and reporting on security developments in regions of the world where IJM has offices; - Completing research assignments assigned by Director of Corporate Security to provide in-depth reports of latest safety and security threats to IJM's work; - Assist in tracking the Field Offices' compliance with IJM Security Manual policies and procedures through check-ins with Field Office security personnel - Assisting with the management of IJM’s crisis response system; and - Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

Now accepting applications for June 2018 (Duration: 12 Months) Note: Interns and Fellows are required to attend an Orientation Week in Washington, D.C. beginning on June 4th.    International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Criminal Intelligence Fellow to directly support IJM’s Criminal Intelligence Center. The Fellow will assist with the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of actionable information to IJM Field Offices and partners to directly enhance investigations and law enforcement development. Using information from multiple sources, the Fellow will examine criminal network patterns and build profiles of suspected perpetrators and their illicit activities in order to help detect, respond to, and prevent violence against the poor. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated interest in intelligence collection and analysis; be a skilled critical thinker; possess strong communication skills; be able to thrive in a dynamic environment; and be passionate about seeking justice.

The Unit provides leadership, expertise, guidance, and technical support to IJM on program design, monitoring, evaluation, and research. Its core objectives are to design plausible and feasible programs; to design and lead high quality research; to provide leadership to IJM’s global DM&E staff; to provide essential guidance, process, and standards; and to disseminate IJM’s programming and research work to internal and external audiences. The Unit is seeking a Data Science intern to support the Unit’s Director of Data Science. Candidates who are pursuing any graduate degree, have an interest in and experience of working with datasets, and have good programming skills are preferred. The intern can expect tasks to include: - Performing analysis of datasets; - Building data models and tools;  - Create, review, and edit data products, including data visualizations; - Develop training materials and user guides;  - Participating in team and general IJM administrative support.

International Justice Mission (IJM) is an international organization working to protect some of the most vulnerable and oppressed people from violent forces of injustice by securing rescue and restoration for victims and ensuring public justice systems work for the poor.    IJM is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual with law enforcement expertise to lead IJM in conducting and monitoring the investigation of human trafficking for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation of minors in the Dominican Republic.  The Director of Investigations and Law Enforcement Development (DILED) will also advance efforts to build the capacity of Dominican law enforcement personnel to effectively investigate sex trafficking cases, rescuing victims applying victim-sensitive methods, and arresting suspects for their prosecution.   This position is based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and reports to the Field Office Director, Dominican Republic.
