Aftercare Interns and Fellows support our national staff with programming for a variety of casework types (i.e., Human Trafficking, Bonded Labor, Child Sexual Assault, Intimate Partner Violence, etc.) as we seek restoration and rehabilitation for our clients. IJM's Internship and Fellowship opportunities vary every session and look different in every office. The Chief Brand and Communications Officer reports to the Global President and will provide visionary leadership to the development and execution of IJM’s global Brand and Communications strategy for the purpose of catalyzing a global revolution that rescues millions, protects half a billion, and makes justice for the poor unstoppable. Based in IJM’s Washington, D.C. office, the Chief Brand and Communications Officer will lead a global team in the successful projection of IJM’s brand to strategic centers of power and influence, providing critical credibility and powerful momentum to IJM’s advocacy, partnership, and justice system transformation initiatives.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will join the largest anti-slavery organization in the world at an unprecedented chapter of reorganization and growth including a bold vision for scaling the organization from $80M to $300-$500M by 2030. As a critical member of IJM’s executive team and global leadership team, this collaborative leader will serve as a strategic partner to all aspects of the organization developing strategies to scale globally and fulfill IJM’s mission to protect the poor from violence.
Reporting directly to the President, the CFO will lead a global financial team that ensures the health, integrity, dynamic management, and strategic stewardship of IJM’s global finances. He or she will exemplify Christian values and lead others to grow holistically as members of a community of Christian spiritual formation.

International Justice Mission has a powerful story to tell to a world that is both overwhelmed by and under-informed about the reality of everyday violence against the poor. We have an opportunity to show a global audience that justice for the poor is possible. The Communications Interns and Fellows support IJM Headquarters and national staff guide how the organization talks about IJM’s work around the world by sourcing and developing compelling content from IJM’s field offices. Depending on your level of experience, your role may involve some of the following responsibilities as well as other relevant duties assigned by the Field Office Director or Supervisor.

IJM Latin America has programs in Guatemala, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Bolivia, and is looking into expansion opportunities in Peru and other countries in the region. In the Dominican Republic, IJM’s program is addressing the commercial sexual exploitation of children -CSEC and other forms of human trafficking in close collaboration with the Dominican government, civil society, NGO partners and the community. IJM’s role is to activate agents of change and to accompany Dominican justice, rule of law and law enforcement agencies to assume ownership of and capacity to rescue, protect and restore victims and to hold perpetrators accountable. Such ownership and increased capacity should result in decreasing the impunity and prevalence of CSEC and human trafficking.
IJM Latin America President is seeking a qualified and inspiring Country Director (CD) to lead a highly functional team of leaders to partner with the government, civil society (including the church), NGOs and community-based organizations to implement IJM’s Justice System Transformation model in rescuing victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation, building aftercare capacity and a network of care to ensure their restoration, securing perpetrator accountability under the law, and building capacity in the criminal justice system to sustainably and effectively enforce the law and protect the vulnerable. IJM and its partners will empower local leaders and influential stakeholders to drive a movement to influence the Dominican government to transform its local justice system. This position is responsible for the overall strategic plan and execution of operations for the Dominican Republic Field Office. The CD will ensure employee engagement, safety, security, as well as spiritual & professional development of all staff, interns and fellows. This position also monitors and controls the budget, expenditure, and program activities to ensure program goals are achieved. The CD will support regional strategies, advancement and activation activities,. The CD builds and leads a culture of world-class professional excellence where members find themselves, year by year, becoming more like Christ, as they pursue the intention to obey Christ in everything through a course of common spiritual disciplines in a community of prayerful love, as they their work.
This position is based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with periodic travel inside the country, Latin America, USA and other countries. The position reports to the Regional President, Latin America.

Criminal Intelligence Interns directly support IJM’s Criminal Analysis Center. The Intern will assist with the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of actionable information to IJM Field Offices and partners to directly enhance investigations and law enforcement development. Using information from multiple sources, the intern will examine criminal network patterns and build profiles of suspected perpetrators and their illicit activities in order to help detect, respond to, and prevent violence against the poor. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated interest in intelligence collection and analysis; be a skilled critical thinker; possess strong communication skills; be able to thrive in a dynamic environment; and be passionate about seeking justice.
Although tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, interns can expect their tasks to include:
- Working with the Director and Senior Criminal Analysts to implement appropriate processes, policies, and protocols for collection, analysis, and dissemination of information;
- Collaborating with field offices to develop focused collection requirements that enhance their investigative work with local law enforcement partners;
- Producing timely, responsive, and quality intelligence products that informs key decision-makers at HQ and meets the investigative needs of Field Offices;
- Collecting and collating information and data from a variety of different sources;
- Analyzing information to identify potential patterns of criminal activity;
- Researching country-specific issues;
- Mapping geographic ‘hot spots’ of criminal activity;
- Preparing support materials for trainings, presentations and reports;
- Creating and maintaining systems for data organization, storage and presentation; and
- Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support, to sometimes include deployment prep support.

IJM is seeking a highly experienced, dedicated professional to serve as the Director of Casework, Cambodia. The Director of Casework (DoC), Cambodia will work closely with the Field Office Director, Cambodia to ensure the field office achieves its goals, particularly regarding the significant, sustainable reduction of forced labor slavery within the Cambodian workforce, with an emphasis on Cambodians being trafficked into the Thai fishing and seafood processing industries. The DoC will lead all direct casework interventions of the Cambodia Field Office. This position is responsible for the management of investigations, legal, and aftercare professionals engaged in the identification, rescue, repatriation, and restoration of Cambodian victims of forced labor slavery and the prosecution of perpetrators in Cambodia. The DoC will lead IJM Cambodia’s cross-border casework engagement and collaboration in destination countries with IJM projects where they exist, as well as with other NGOs and stakeholders in countries without an IJM presence.
The DoC will ensure employee engagement, safety, and security, as well as spiritual and professional development in the Casework Team. This position also monitors and controls the budget, expenditure, and program activities of the Casework Team to ensure optimal staff performance and program goal achievement. The DoC will set overall investigations, legal, and aftercare strategies, build bridges with local, national, and international law enforcement, social services, and legal agencies, and support IJM’s efforts to equip, train, and coach justice system officials. The DoC will build and lead a culture of world-class professional excellence in Casework, where team members find themselves, year by year, becoming more like Christ as they participate in common spiritual disciplines in a community of service and faith.

International Justice Mission is seeking a professional Director of Investigations and Law Enforcement Development (DILED) to lead IJM’s ILED team in its Cebu Field Office. The DILED is responsible for developing, executing, and leading support to local Law Enforcement Officials (LEOs) and units investigating Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) / Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC), helping to ensure victims are rescued and suspects are arrested. The successful candidate must have a solid background in criminal investigations, specifically in online investigations (with additional experience investigating sexual abuse and exploitation of children), possess a basic foundation in digital evidence and forensics, possess strong communication skills, be able to thrive in a detailed, dynamic environment, and be passionate about empowering local law enforcement and strengthening justice systems.

The Director of Operations (DO) is responsible for the overall execution of operations for the Malaysia Field Office. The DO ensures employee engagement, safety, security, and professional development. This position also monitors and controls the budget, expenditure, and program activities to ensure staff performance and achievement of program goals. The DO coordinates closely with IJM regional leadership and represents the organization in external engagement with government, corporate, and nongovernmental stakeholders. The DO builds and leads a culture of world-class professional excellence within the field team as well as with external partners.

The Real Estate and Facilities Manager position is responsible for setting consistent standards for the leasing of office space around the world. The goal is to optimize IJM’s workplaces to align and support IJM’s brand and culture, maximize flexibility and productivity, control cost, and ensure physical security. This position is responsible for the successful execution of real estate and workspace planning projects at HQ and may be called upon to provide expert advice to other offices on real estate strategy, space planning, and facilities management. In addition, the Real Estate and Facilities Manager position will oversee the day-to-day office administration of the global headquarters and manage a team of office operations coordinators. This includes ensuring that the HQ facilities processes, systems, budget and front desk function to effectively support IJM’s mission. This position interfaces frequently with internal and external stakeholders.

The Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining all aspects of global compensation and benefits, developing and maintaining a framework for HR Key Performance Indicators (including employee engagement metrics), and participating in the global Workday rollout. The specialist will also support the CPO and IJM’s Global Leadership Team by providing high quality, industry-standard advice on Compensation and Benefits. The successful candidate will have experience working in an international organization, serving and supporting offices in multiple countries, and successfully developing and implementing global grading frameworks, salary structures, and HR systems.
