As IJM continues this trajectory of growth and scaling of its impact, the Global Finance team is seeking a collaborative candidate to lead the Workday System transformation globally across IJM offices worldwide.

 

This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Global Vice President and Controller.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Management:

  • Manage execution of responsible Finance process areas and ensure the processes operate efficiently and effectively;
  • Escalate process issues to respective businesses owners in a timely and structured approach;
  • Lead team members to promote value added activities, focus on exceeding customer demands and establish role in the end-to-end process;
  • Motivate team members to challenge the status quo (effective change management) and strive for process excellence; and
  • Run Vendor Management with the selected business process outsourcing provider.

 

Strategy & Knowledge Development & Implementation/Networking & Partnership/Policies & Procedures:

  • Assess current finance business process configuration and work with integrator and potential business process outsourcing provider partners to simplify and standardize processes;
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement, best practice sharing and process standardization and align with the other functional areas of the team; and
  • Perform review of root cause analysis developed by the BPO to determine causes of missed performance metrics and/or incidents and lead redress.

 

Communication/Training & Development/Documentation, Reporting & Data Management:

  • Establish metrics to measure service performance, quality, and internal stakeholder satisfaction;
  • Lead training and document process and performance standards;
  • Create process to regularly review performance with key stakeholders; and
  • Develop service performance management tools to assist in completing and distributing of performance reports.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with various Finance software and/or ability to quickly learn new systems (Workday Finance preferred);
  • Experience with vendor sourcing, execution and management is a plus;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration;
  • 8-10 years of experience with an organization in a Finance Management function;
  • Proactive self-starter and able to complete time-sensitive activities within set deadlines;
  • Strong understanding of controls required within the Finance function; and
  • Process-driven with relationship building skills, especially in a complex and multi-relationship environment (external and internal).
