As IJM continues this trajectory of growth and scaling of its impact, the US Corporate and Government Partnerships team will lead IJM’s vision and strategy for  transformational partnerships and collaboration with US multi-national corporations, agencies of the United States government and leading institutions that accelerate investment in host government capacity to protect those in poverty from violence. This team will work in close coordination and alignment with the IJM’s regional and frontline country teams collaborating with governments to confront slavery and violence.

 

The Lead for US Grants & Partnerships Management will drive the department’s day to day partnership cultivation and stewardship program as well as the grants acquisition, management and reporting for targeted US-based agents of change. Given the cross-cutting global impact of the partnerships managed by the department, the Lead will be responsible for development and management the internal collaboration and alignment mechanisms and work rhythms that ensure high level of internal global alignment and agility in strategy and execution across. The Lead will work in close collaboration with IJM Global, Regional and Country counterparts around the world. 

 

This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Vice President, US Corporate & Government Partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • In alignment with the US relationship manager, manage the end to end journey and program for targeted agents of change;
  • In close coordination with IJM’s global grants team, implementing regional grant managers, and the Creative team, facilitate and lead IJM US’s content development for institutional funding opportunities; This work includes development of presentations, vision papers, informational briefs, and concept notes, as well as supporting Global Grants acquisition staff on grant proposals where needed;
  • Coordinate with implementing regional grant managers to establish internal reporting and review timelines, facilitating and supporting the writing process as needed and overseeing the packaging and submission of reports to the donor;
  • Facilitate and manage partnership working groups and other suitable collaboration mechanisms to assure alignment of strategy, execution and communications across IJM’s regions and global counterparts;
  • Oversee the documentation and US portfolio management of official communications, meetings and submissions with corporate & government partners; and
  • Steward new entities in the C&GP portfolio, driving research to identify intersections of priorities and potential partnership synergies, and proposing strategy for greater involvement by relationship managers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex projects and budgets;
  • Experience in grant management, including proposal writing, implementation, and reporting;
  • Knowledge of standards relating to program design, monitoring, and evaluation;
  • Prior experience working in international contexts using indirect communication skills preferred;
  • Master’s degree in International Development or related field preferred;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Proactive, creative problem-solver; and
  • Innovative, able to find and strengthen program efficiencies.
