As IJM continues this trajectory of growth and scaling of its impact, IJM is seeking an experienced, highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for justice and supporting IJM’s mission to support IJM’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and Chief Risk Officer. This role will provide advanced administrative, operational and project support to the OGC. This position will support the OGC leadership team, manage IJM’s policy library, and be responsible for various OGC projects in accordance with need and priority. This position is also responsible for assisting in the successful completion of ongoing and discrete projects within the division.  

 

This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel.

Responsibilities

Administrative Coordination

  • Provide high quality administrative coordination support to the OGC leadership team resulting in effective use of their time;
  • Assist the OGC in maintaining seamless operations and developing/improving departmental systems; and
  • Set meeting rhythms for the leadership team and division and liaising with teams across the organization to ensure the OGC team meets all required deadlines.

Policy Project Support/Library Management

  • Provide significant project coordination support to an enterprise-wide project, owned by the OGC, aimed at putting IJM’s values into practice in how decisions are made, implemented, and enforced globally;
  • Implement the set up of IJM’s policy library on a new hosting platform, including migrating existing documents and overseeing input of metadata; and
  • Manage the policy library on an ongoing basis.

Project Execution and Management

  • Own various ongoing OGC projects and processes such as team meetings, offsites, and morale building activities; and
  • As requested, assist as needed in the execution and management of additional assigned OGC projects.

Event Coordination

  • Assist in the execution of events including IJM Global Board meetings, OGC trainings, and events with pro bono counsel.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing top-level administrative and project support in a fast-paced, professional environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse team of experts and specialists;
  • High attention to detail and strong ability to track details in an organized way;
  • Capacity to track, manage and execute multiple projects and tasks simultaneously;
  • Excellent planning and implementation skills;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Experience in project management preferred; and
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving and finding creative, innovative solutions.
