    TheGlobal People Support division works to provide the people, systems, processes, and support necessary to end slavery and violence in our lifetime. Asone of the GPS interns, you will assist in hiring, inspiring, and strengthening IJM staff to accomplish that goal. Although tasks may vary depending on the internship and the work in progress at the time, some tasks may include: 

    • Coordinating various audits, such as benefits and job description audits;
    • Assisting with survey analysis projects;
    • Assisting in the organization and execution of various retreats and other all-staff events;
    • Preparing for IJM’s daily staff prayer time, including recording prayer requests and coordinating with staff members as needed;
    • Providing coordination for special projects assigned by People Operations members;
    • Assisting the division’s use of project management software; and
    • Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

    Positions May Include:

    • Talent Acquisition: supporting IJM’s global Intern and Fellows program, expatriate program and global onboarding
    • Staff Care: support the design and development of Staff Care processes and projects
    • People Support Strategy & Operations: support ongoing projects within the division, including global Human Resources policy development, Orientation, Prayer Retreats, and morale enhancing initiatives

    Responsibilities

    IJM's Internship opportunities vary every session and look different in every office. Interns generally will assist a specific person or team. The positions involve the described tasks and responsibilities as well as other relevant duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor. 

     

    General Qualifications and Required Skills

    • Bachelor's degree must be in progress for DC Internships and applicants need to have completed at leasttwoyears of undergraduate study.
