    IJM is seeking a highly experienced, service-minded professional to serve as the Global Compensation and Benefits Specialist. The Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining all aspects of global compensation and benefits, developing and maintaining a framework for HR Key Performance Indicators (including employee engagement metrics), and participating in the global Workday rollout. The specialist will also support the CPO and IJM’s Global Leadership Team by providing high quality, industry-standard advice on Compensation and Benefits. The successful candidate will have experience working in an international organization, serving and supporting offices in multiple countries, and successfully developing and implementing global grading frameworks, salary structures, and HR systems.

     

    This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Chief People Officer and is part of the Global People Support divisional leadership team.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as IJM’s global expert on compensation and People data;
    • Develop and implement a competitive global compensation strategy and framework as well as global compensation minimum standards that are supporting both global functions and each of IJM’s individual regions effectively;
    • Support, train and develop global HR staff and managers on compensation;
    • Develop and maintain a global Job Description library with standardized Job Descriptions as well as maintain and uphold the global grading framework;
    • Ensure IJM has benchmark survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges;
    • Develop and drive the global yearly merit increase process;
    • Develop, maintain and follow up on People KPIs as well as create visuals and reports on People data for the CPO as well as regional and global leadership;
    • Create and execute the annual employment engagement survey strategy, analysis, and response;
    • Serve as the Global People point of contact for IJM’s Global HR System Workday and participate in the global rollout of Workday; and 
    • Develop and maintain relationships with regional and national leadership to ensure our division continues to provide high quality support to all world regions. 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred majors: Finance, HR, and/or Business); 
    • MBA degree desired; 
    • Minimum 10 years of Human Resources experience;
    • Extensive knowledge of benefits across multiple countries;
    • Experience in developing global grade and salary structure;
    • Experience with analytic visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.);
    • Experience in developing Global KPIs;
    • Vast experience working in global organizations and serving offices in multiple countries;
    • International work experience preferred; and
    • Experience implementing global HR systems strongly preferred.
