    The Mid-Level Giving Project Manager is part of a team responsible for raising more than $7.7 million in revenue per year through individual donors giving between $1,000 and $10,000 annually, and achieving double digit revenue growth each year. In this role, you will assist the team in project management, donor retention activities, and event planning. The right person for this role will be analytical, creative, professional and relational, and will excel at producing consistently excellent results.


    This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Senior Manager, Mid-Level Giving Program.



    Project Management for Mid-Level Fundraising Program

    • Manage the creation, production, and overall project process of compelling mailings and digital campaigns for the mid-level audience;
    • Collaborate with Annual Giving Manager to create mid-level audience-specific communications for IJM’s appeals;
    • Manage all donor retention projects, including welcome materials, thank you pieces, and lapsed donor mailings;
    • Analyze revenue results of mid-level mailings and campaigns and identify areas of improvement; and
    • Research fundraising best practices and other organizations to maintain a pulse on the broader fundraising industry, glean learnings and provide ideas for continuous improvement.

    Support mid-level donor retention tactics

    • Engage with donors via phone, email, and events;
    • Lead event planner for mid-level events;
    • Write retention emails and Online Community content for the mid-level audience;
    • Coordinate and manage volunteer and intern support for team projects; and 
    • Support other mid-level donor tactics as needed.

    Travel Requirements
    Potential for 2 – 3 domestic trips per year for event support.



    Required Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree; Marketing or related field preferred;
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in results-driven coordination or project management roles, with experience in fundraising roles preferred;
    • Experience executing and optimizing marketing plans from the ground up that yield strong results;
    • Superior ability to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously and proven ability to consistently meet deadlines with excellence;
    • Demonstrated ability to interact well across all age groups; and
    • Demonstrated ability to earn and maintain trust with regard to confidential and sensitive information.

    Critical Qualities

    • Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed;
    • Analytical and creative with a firm grasp of fundraising techniques;
    • Excellent written and oral communications;
    • Extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail;
    • Calm under stress and deadline pressures;
    • Strong initiative, with ability to prioritize tasks;
    • Personable, with a sustained positive attitude and a good sense of humor; and
    • Effective as a team player and a proactive communicator.
