International Justice Mission’s (IJM) mission to secure justice for victims of violent oppression depends on cutting-edge tactics in the field, which are made possible through the partnership, advocacy and financial support of an engaged network. IJM events both raise funds and awareness to advance the mission of IJM and in this role you will be a part of a team developing best-in-class events with a significant impact.
The Events team is currently seeking a Limited Term Event Coordinator from August 2018-October 2018 to assist with components of planning and executing the Liberate Conference to be held in Frisco, TX September 28 & 29 2018. Liberate will be a 4,000-5,000 person conference by which constituents and Global IJM staff will come together to celebrate and reflect on the last 20 years. The conference will consist of main Plenary Sessions at the Dr Pepper Arena, to be followed by various Breakout sessions & engagement opportunities in the Frisco Convention Center next door.
This position is based at IJM headquarters in the Washington, DC area and will report to the Event Coordinator Lead.
The Event Coordinator’s main responsibilities will be to support and work with the Events team in the planning and preparation for Liberate. This coordinator will primarily be responsible for managing Eventbrite registration tasks to troubleshoot needs, and provide excellent customer service. They will also be responsible for helping the Events team connect with attendees, and the rest of the organization to prepare for the event. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
-Being fully versed in all registration solutions to assist with the Liberate check-in process
-Managing a ‘solutions table’ for troubleshooting onsite
-Being on-call for registration needs throughout Liberate
