  • The Need

    International Justice Mission’s (IJM) mission to secure justice for victims of violent oppression depends on cutting-edge tactics in the field, which are made possible through the partnership and financial support of an engaged network. IJM fundraisers raise millions of dollars to advance the mission of IJM, and in this role you will provide coordination and administrative support for a regional team of major donor fundraisers.

     

    A successful candidate will be an effective problem-solver with experience providing project coordination and support within a fast-paced, professional environment. The candidate must possess the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tasks, have strong attention to detail, be effective in working independently on special projects, and maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.

     

    This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Strategic Partnerships Senior Program Manager.

    Responsibilities

    Provide Administrative Support

    • Provide efficient coordination and support to five regional Directors of Strategic Partnerships based remotely around the country;
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and representative for the Directors for internal colleagues and external constituents; 
    • Maintain professional standards in tasks and projects for Directors through the editing of written communication and documents, professional email and telephone communication, adherence to deadlines, and appropriate professional etiquette; 
    • Assist Directors in preparing briefing materials and coordinating travel logistics with the Office of the President and Global Programs;
    • Assist Senior Program Manager in preparing briefing materials and coordinating travel logistics with the CEO’s office;
    • Seamlessly coordinate team meetings and retreats including agenda creation, materials preparation, logistics, and minutes; 
    • Coordinate logistics, briefings, and external communication to constituents traveling internationally to IJM Field Offices with Directors; 
    • Review all expense reports and payment forms for the Directors each month; and
    • Assist in the organization and development of team processes and systems impacting multiple departments.

    Donor and Constituent Meeting Preparation and Follow-Up

    • Successfully resource Directors and constituents (as requested by Directors) with IJM information and materials;
    • Utilize Salesforce on a regular basis to create and provide data reports and analysis for Directors; 
    • Ensure data accuracy, including updating constituent contact information, assigning and maintaining codes and relationships, and assisting in updating notes and actions; and
    • Work on special projects as assigned by the Strategic Partnerships Senior Program Manager.

    Requirements

    Required Skills and Experience

    • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education;
    • At least one year of experience providing top-level support or coordination in a fast-paced, professional environment;
    • Superior administrative capacity to manage a large number of projects and tasks simultaneously and to complete them with minimal oversight;
    • Exceptional ability in written and oral communication;
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn other systems and programs;
    • Experience supporting remote employees preferred;
    • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships; 
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and utilize databases; and
    • Prior experience using Salesforce preferred.

    • Self-starter with strong initiative; 
    • Meticulous attention to detail and disciplined with priorities; 
    • Adept at creative problem solving;
    • Adept at providing quality customer-service to a variety of constituencies; and
    • Personable and winsome with internal and external audiences.

    *What is a statement of faith?

    A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
