    The Program Manager will support the continued growth of our Pro Athlete Program in the U.S. and abroad as we continue to develop meaningful engagement with our pro athlete families. The position is based in our DC Headquarters and reports to the Director of Professional Athletes Partnerships.


    Management of pro athlete program objectives and initiatives:

    • Organize and equip Program Director and regional Directors to lead partnership work on the ground by implementing best practices in all data pertaining to pro athlete relationships and records;
    • Implement and track information in Salesforce and develop regular weekly/monthly reports;
    • Work to identify and assist in developing proposals and tools for pro families;
    • Manage program driven events and initiatives internally including the pmanagement of needed materials, speakers, and other needed support;
    • Partner with the Program Director to equip and support Strategic Partnership Directors locally with pro program needs;
    • Work across IJM Global Advancement teams internally to support brand, growth and revenue goals via the pro athlete program resources;
    • Lead the creation and management of marketing needs and materials for the website as well as brochures and event materials for pro program events and speaking opportunities;
    • Manage the implementation of pro program trips to the field by working with the field manager and internal support team to manage the collection of critical materials and needs from pro family participants;
    • Manage and track new opportunities for pro program pipeline by working with IJM's research team;
    • Manage the pro athlete program calendar and scheduling needs; and 
    • Manage, track and ensure the spending of the department's allocated funds in accordance with IJM’s budgetary and stewardship principles and policies.


    Required Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and/or education required;
    • 5 years of experience in project management required;
    • Sports philanthropy/management experience including outward facing constituent experience with pro athlete families;
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment;
    • Experience developing programs from the ground up and the proven ability to take it to the next level;
    • Excellent facilitation and communication skills;
    • Proven ability to develop and create marketing tools and strategies;
    • Event & relationship management experience; and 
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
