IJM is seeking an International Advancement Coordinator. The International Advancement Coordinator will provide high level administrative coordination for the Vice President of International Advancement and general support as we continue to grow and expand IJM’s Global Advancement Division operations around the world. The position will support the division through dynamic planning, collaboration and managing competing priorities, projects, and tasks. This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Vice President of International Advancement.  

Responsibilities

Coordination and Administration

  • Provide general support to the Vice President of International Advancement, including leading and planning for global and regional leadership gatherings and providing budget and logistics management for domestic and international events;
  • Manage the Vice President of International Advancement's calendar, incoming calls, emails, and time requests and maintain systems to track VPIA priorities and tasks to ensure appropriate prioritization and follow-up
  • Assist in coordinating and supporting the International Advancement team both at HQ and in Partner Offices through meeting preparation and logistics, event coordination, briefing and materials preparation
  • Assist in the development and tracking of a departmental work plan to ensure timely follow up and task completion;
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between Partner Offices and other key IJM staff around the world;
  • Provide departments and constituents with information and materials critical to the execution of priorities and objectives;
  • Coordinate and provide logistical support for the International Advancement staff for international travel and headquarters-initiated events; and
  • Ensure a high-level of customer-service that fosters unity and joy for all who engage with the department.

Project Support

  • Gather resources, materials and information needed by Partner Offices;
  • Ensure accuracy in Partner Office reporting;
  • Assist in the compilation, tracking, and management of department statistics and provide up-to-date data to internal and external parties upon request;
  • Provide logistical support for the planning and execution of all Global Prayer events, coordinating advancement staff schedules and related logistics;
  • Process monthly travel and expense reports; 
  • Generate and provide monthly budget reports;
  • Assign projects and manage the workload of International Advancement interns and fellows working in IJM’s headquarters office;
  • Provide assistance to the Vice President of International Advancement concerning budget monitoring and compliance; and
  • Ensure that the spending of allocated funds is in accordance with IJM’s budgetary principles and policies.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of two years of experience providing top-level administrative support in a fast-paced, professional environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Exceptional ability in written and oral communication;
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Superior administrative capacity to manage a large number of projects and tasks simultaneously with minimal oversight;
  • Proven ability to develop new processes and procedures resulting in a streamlined workload and increase of efficiency;
