Global Systems interns join a special implementation team (called “AMOS”) in the Global Technology Solutions (GTS) department. The AMOS team is a diverse group of project/change managers and technical systems analysts, tasked with developing and deploying IJM’s new cloud-based systems to IJM offices around the world. Critical to furthering IJM’s mission, GS interns will get hands-on experience with cutting edge technologies, change management, and project management. Although specific tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, interns can expect their tasks to include:

  • Assisting the AMOS team with change management efforts, including the development of surveys, focus groups, communiques, job aids, training videos, etc;
  • Contributing to agile project management rhythms, including SCRUM boards/meetings;
  • Supporting the systems directly through process mapping, user story documentation, requirements gathering, and testing;
  • Providing support to staff traveling and liaising with IJM’s global staff on system design, testing, and implementation; and
  • Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

IJM's Internship opportunities vary every session and look different in every office. Interns generally will assist a specific person or team.
