International Justice Mission has a powerful story to tell to a world that is both overwhelmed by and under-informed about the reality of everyday violence against the poor. We have an opportunity to show a global audience that justice for the poor is possible.
IJM’s Global Advancement Resources team guides how the organization talks about IJM’s work by sourcing compelling content from around the world and crafting that material into beautiful stories, fundraising proposals, organization-wide messaging and other strategic pieces. In doing so, the team equips a rapidly growing organization with the communication tools it needs to raise revenue, create policy change, and catalyze prayer support. The Temporary Communications Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the entire team of Communications Managers to efficiently and joyfully advance the mission of IJM. You will gain a deep insight into the behind-the-scenes work that enables miraculous stories of rescue, restoration and transformation to be amplified for a global audience.
This temporary position is based in Washington, DC, and reports to and works alongside the Senior Program Manager of Global Advancement Resources. The position is targeted to start October 1, 2017 and run through mid- to late-December 2017.
