The Need

Strategic Partnerships interns assist the Strategic Partnerships team with tasks and projects related to raising the vital financial support that propels IJM's important mission around the world. Although specific tasks vary depending on the nature of the work in progress during the internship, interns can expect their tasks to include: 

  • Assisting the Strategic Partnerships team with planning and program support;
  • Corresponding with IJM donors and potential donors via e-mail, telephone and mail to support fundraising initiatives;
  • Researching fundraising, marketing, and other development techniques, including benefit dinners and small events; and
  • Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support. 

Responsibilities

IJM's Internship opportunities vary every session and look different in every office. Interns generally will assist a specific person or team. The positions involve the described tasks and responsibilities as well as other relevant duties that may be assigned by the Field Office Director or Supervisor.

 

General Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree is required for all internships and fellowships except any Washington, DC Internships (Bachelor's degree must be in progress for DC Internships and applicants need to have completed at least three years of undergraduate study).
