The Need

The Marketing Project Manager will help drive the success of IJM’s communications and brand projects through stellar project management and operational support. The position will also focus on the development and implementation of processes and systems that eliminate inefficiencies and remove barriers to collaboration and innovation within the Brand and Communications, as well as support the Vice President in leading the Brand and Communications team.

This position will manage the deliverables, scope, time and cost of website development projects and marketing campaigns and will drive all aspects of project management including: scope, timelines, budget, available resources,

communication, requirements, and risks by:

  • Creating and communicating project plans and timelines;
  • Leading communications initiatives including project plan and timeline development, stakeholder engagement, project budget management, and oversight of vendor relationships;
  • Ensuring communication and collaboration directly with internal teams; and
  • Managing special projects assigned by management.

This position will lead teams through ongoing execution of marketing campaigns, adhering to and

improving processes by:

  • Refining systems across teams and ensure clarity on process, roles, and responsibilities, including working with the Global Director, Brand + Storytelling on rolling out and managing the RAPID decision-making model;
  • Anticipating stakeholder needs and providing solution by using subject matter experts as needed;
  • Understanding and translating stakeholder business objectives into executable project plans for internal teams; and
  • Using lessons learned from previous projects to instill a culture of continuous improvement.

This position will ensure on time, on budget, delivery of services through:

  • Managing Brand and Communication team budget;
  • Ensuring budget is relevant and up to date by maintaining and utilizing related tools and systems; and
  • Ensuring that budget related decisions are made through timely and detailed communication with Vice President, Brand and Communication.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience·

  • BA degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience and certification;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and operations;
  • Project management certification is a plus;
  • Experience managing budgets is an asset;
  • Extensive experience developing efficient systems and processes with an orientation towards building simple, streamlined solutions;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong prioritization skills;
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills; and
  • High level of proficiency Microsoft Office required; proficiency with SharePoint strongly preferred.
