The Need

A world-class organization uses world-class technology systems to effectively support its staff. IJM is seeking a professional to work with the People Operations/Human Resources (PO) team to manage Workday, IJM’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system.  Use your system administration and problem solving skills, along with your desire to use technology efficiently, to support IJM’s global staff. The HR Systems Analyst acts as a resource for all users throughout the organization to provide information and support in regards to PO systems and leads efforts to optimize the systems. The Systems Analyst will also be an integral part of the organization’s global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project.

 

This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Senior Program Manager, Human Resources.

Responsibilities

Workday System Maintenance

 

As part of the HR Systems Team,

  • Manage and maintain the Workday helpdesk system to troubleshoot user technical issues;
  • Manage and maintain a system change and optimization request and tracking process;
  • Partner with IJM’s Information Systems team (IS) to maintain system security and protocols;
  • Assist with data and system integration efforts between other HR and IJM systems as part of the ERP project;
  • Partner with PO functional leads and other IJM staff to identify and implement system and business process improvements;
  • Train and ensure that HR systems users understand and can operate Workday and other HRIS software by maintaining, updating and developing end user training materials and reference documents;
  • Build reports and dashboards within Workday to measure various HR data points for the PO team and organization leadership; and
  • Other job duties as assigned.

 

Facilitate System Upgrades

  • In conjunction with HR Systems and Application Support Teams,
  • Research the Workday system upgrade content and make recommendations for using new features;
  • Develop scripts for system testing;
  • Facilitate system testing work sessions;
  • Host new feature demonstrations for IJM staff;
  • Manage the up-take process of new features; and
  • Assist with communications on upgrades to users.

 

Coordinate Implementation and Roll out of New Modules

  • In conjunction with the HR Systems and ERP teams,
  • Serve as the lead HR Systems Analyst for the global ERP system rollout project; and
  • Assist with the implementation and rollout of new Workday/HRIS modules.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field;
  • 5+ years’ professional work experience;
  • PC software knowledge including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Technical competency, specifically systems analysis experience;
  • Experience understanding internal and external customer needs and exceeding expectations in providing solutions;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately;
  • Track record of building trust and effective collaborative relationships across teams;
  • Strong complex problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan and organize tasks and information in a fast-paced environment;
  • Skilled communicator with well-developed listening, verbal, written and presentation abilities;
  • Able to communicate technical information to non-technical users;
  • Prior experience working on a global systems implementation;
  • Preferred 2 or more years of experience as a Workday user, business process administrator (or similar experience with another HCM SaaS solution); and
  • Knowledgeable of the end to end software implementation experience including project management, issue management, communication, and change management.
